QGOA is a member of TAQG, represented by Kathey Youngblood and Libby McDuffie.  TAQG has over 40 member guilds from all over north and central Texas; meets six times a year to discuss common issues, share a wealth of information in group meetings and training sessions for guild officers.  The main annual event is Rally Day, where all quilt guild members can attend (over 800 quilters) for a special speaker and workshops.

All you need for admission is your current guild membership badge.

Rally Day 2009 will be Saturday, July 11 at the Mimosa Lane Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas.  Speaker will be: Sharon Schamber, known for machine quilting, appliqué, and winning Best of Show at the Houston International Quilt Festival, 2008.  She will also offer a few workshops.
